SM Hyun is a Korean-Japanese American author who currently lives in the great frozen north of Alaska, though she spent a great deal of time in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up on fairy-tales handed down from her Japanese grandparents and folk songs from her Korean mother.
Her favorite genres are epic and urban fantasy and she loves the growing representation of diversity in literature. So she decided to reach for the stars and give it a try.
When she's not writing, SM Hyun can be found hanging out with her partner and giant four-legged children, reading, and cooking.
